About Us
A family-owned business
Hokeness Construction is a family-owned business that specializes in new home construction. Jon and Julie Hokeness established their business in Hudson, Wisconsin, in 1995. Jon is a third generation master carpenter and general contractor with 40 years of experience.
After Jon’s grandfather trained in Norway, he immigrated to the United States and worked on dozens of large construction projects in the upper Midwest. Jon’s father was also a master carpenter who taught college courses in home construction at Stout University before beginning his own construction company. Jon trained under his father as part of Wisconsin’s number-one-rated apprenticeship program in the country, and after four years, Jon earned his status as a full-fledged journeyman carpenter. Jon’s pride in his work is based on his many years of experience and his family tradition of quality.
The subcontractors used by Hokeness Construction are highly reputable trades people who are selected based on craftsmanship, efficiency, design skills, and value. Hokeness Construction chooses only the highest quality subcontractors who have sterling reputations for quality and reliability.
Jon is a member of The National Association of Homebuilders, a nation wide association of professional contractors made up of approximately 80,000 contractor members who are continually updated on the newest trends in residential home building.
Throughout the building process, Hokeness Construction relies on frequent, thoughtful communication with its clients to ensure that it meets the highest possible standard of customer satisfaction.
